The course focuses on the study of the Bible as a divine revelation and also a personal God who is both transcendent and immanent.

Content :

Bible as the divine revelation, inspiration, uniqueness of the scripture, canonicity, authority of the scripture and its inerrancy. The personality of God, views on his existence, the works of God and attributes God and the Trinity.

Course Description :

This deals with the doctrine of man in relation to God at creation, the fall and the immediate effects and consequences of sin.

Content :

Definitions, origin of man the image of God in man, the fall of man, the origin of sin, its entrance into the human race and the immediate effects and the consequences of sin.

THS 213 THEOLOGY 111 (CHRISTOLOGY AND SOTERIOLOGY) (3CR)

Course Description :

The course will examine the pre — incarnation, incarnation and exaltation of Christ, majoring in his atonement and salvation of human race.

Content :

Incantation of Christ, definition of various terms, the two nature of Christ, peccability and impeccability of Christ, the works of Christ death, resurrection, ascension and exaltation. The extent of atonement of Christ, the process of salvation, the grace of God, regeneration, conversion, adoption, justification, sanctification, union with Christ, eternal security and glorification.

THS 224 THEOLOGY IV (PNEUMATOLOGY AND ANGELOLOGY) (3CR)

Course Description :

The course studies the doctrine of the Holy spirit and Angels --- Satan and demons.

Content :

Definition, Personality of the holy Spirit, representation of the Holy Spirit, the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the Old testament and New Testament (indwelling, baptizing, sealing, and filling of the Holy Spirit) and the gifts of the Holy Spirit in relation to charismatic movements. The nature and attributes of Angels, the ministries of good angels, the origin and nature of Satan, the works of demons, the Destiny of Satan and Demons.

THE 235 THEOLOGY V (ECCLESIOLOGY AND ESCHATOLOGY) (3CR)

Course Description :

The course studies the nature, organization and the practices of the Christian church as well as the second coming of Christ, the millennium and the final state.

Content :

The nature of the Christian church, the practices of the church, the organization of the church, the ordinances of the church, and the role of the church in the world. The personal return of Christ, the order of events of the Lord's Day (tribulation) revelation of Christ, millennium, judgments and eternal state -blessedness of the believers and punishment for unbelievers.

Course Description :

The course is designed to equip the students with the modern Christian world view in order to give a rational defense Of the Christian faith.

Content :

Definition various approaches to apologetics, history of apologetics rationalism, pluralism, evolution, atheism, agnosticism etc and the importance of apologetics.

Course Description :

The focuses on the social, cultural and religious background of ATR in the context of Christian theology.

Content :

the African concept of God, divinities, spirits and the living dead. Traditional African marriage forms, man and his rite of passage, ethics and morality, mystical powers - witchcraft, sorcery and magic. The areas of compatibility and diversity as far as biblical doctrine or theology is concerned.

the course explores the historical development and teachings of various contemporary theological trends in the and centuries.

Contemporary and dogmatic theologies, neo-orthodoxy, Catholicism, charismatic movement, process theology, liberation theology and new age theologies, contributions of the following people in theology - Emil Bruner, Paul Tillich, Soren Kierkguard, Reinhold Niebuhr, Rudolg Bulltmann and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
